MSF has been working since 1999 with patients suffering from Chagas. This parasitical disease, found on the American continent, affects around 16 - 18 million people. New drugs and diagnostics are needed to tackle the disease, including medications adapted for children.

Sleeping Sickness Fact Sheet

60 million people are at risk of contracting sleeping sickness, or human African trypanosomiasis (HAT). The disease affects 36 countries across sub-Saharan Africa. Nearly eliminated in the 1960s, the disease has been making a massive comeback due to war, population movements and the collapse of health systems.

DNDi launches new malaria treatment

Co-founder of the Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative, MSF has been pushing for new models of medical innovation, allowing for the development of better more affordable drugs that target the diseases of the poor.

Last year DNDi launched their first product, a patent free combination therapy for malaria, AS/AQ.
